5280 Theater Company Pro Team Auditions Announcement!

We are thrilled to announce auditions for our prestigious 5280 Pro Team! This is an incredible opportunity to join our pre-professional team, where we cultivate the next generation of top-tier performers. Being part of the 5280 Pro Team is a true honor—one that provides professional-level experiences in an encouraging, inspiring, and challenging environment.

Audition Day: January 11, 2025

We are holding auditions for four upcoming productions all on the same day! You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your talent for these amazing shows:

• Chicago: Teen Edition (Paid Intensive)

• The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

• Barefoot in the Park

• Bright Star

You can sign up for audition slots via SignUpGenius. Please note, you must sign up for a separate time slot for each show you're auditioning for. For example, if you're auditioning for both Barefoot in the Park and Chicago, you need to select a time for both.

Important Note: If you're auditioning for multiple shows, you may be onsite for the entire day. You're free to leave between slots but ensure you're back in time for your next audition! We'll have staff at each door to guide you through the process and ensure you've completed all necessary steps before entering the casting room.

Audition Day Logistics:

• Some time slots may overlap, so schedule carefully to ensure you don’t miss any auditions.

• Once you’ve finished all your auditions for the day, you are free to leave.

• Callbacks will be held on January 12, 2025, and callback materials and times will be emailed to you the evening of January 11. Please note, callbacks are mandatory, and no exceptions will be made. Make sure you memorize the callback material for your audition.

Preparation:

Before auditioning, ensure you have completed the following by January 1, 2025:

1. Sign up for your audition time slots.

2. Complete your actor profile in our acting database. This is a crucial step—your profile will help the directors get to know you before auditions, so answer thoughtfully and accurately. You will not be allowed to audition without a completed profile.

Chicago: Teen Edition (Paid Intensive)

• Tuition: $600 (Scholarships available based on talent and financial need).

• Scholarships: Talent-based scholarships will be awarded during casting and deducted from your tuition.

• If cast in Chicago, the full tuition payment is due by February 12, 2025. Payment plans are available, but failure to pay by the deadline may result in losing your role to another actor.

Non-Tuition Shows:

• The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Barefoot in the Park, and Bright Star are non-tuition-based productions, but auditions are still required. Please note, tickets will need to be purchased for those attending the performances.
